As we roll into a very Hot June, I am reminded by corporations galore that it’s Pride Month. As much as I would like to write a long article about how corporations are monetizing on pride, Instead I wanna talk about Novia’s love and support. Many of you that walk in the clinic tell me you come to Novia because she supports you and helps you out. Many of you have referred friends and family here because you appreciate her kindness.
Perhaps it’s because of her kindness that many of you are here. This is one reason I decided to start working here, and it is one of the many reasons I am thankful that I am still able to work as an admin assistant. As the clinic continues to grow please introduce yourself to the new staff members; they will feel the caring, nurturing, supportive community Novia has created through your warm welcomes. Working where you feel liked and accepted is important, I am thankful that everyone here has been very kind and accepting, it has truly felt like working for a family.
There are still many people out there who could use Novia’s support. If you know someone struggling with their health and you don’t know what to do, send them our way. We are here to help! One of the communities that we would like to continue to support is the LGBT community. Many LGBT people suffer without support; which can make it hard to get pregnant, quit drinking, change your lifestyle, battle depression… Here people won’t be judged for being who they are, we don’t see your sexuality as something that should be cured. We see the pain and struggle that you have and we want to support you.
